What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, standard gym gear is fine, have a slightly fitted t shirt as it will end up around your head otherwise! Layers can be useful in case you get hot or cold, we also have blankets available for more restorative classes. A sports bra is also a good idea! Yoga and pilates classes are taken with bare feet.
What should I bring?
You may want to bring along your water bottle, we have water available for refilling, and consider bringing a sweat towel. If you have your own yoga mat, you are welcome to bring it along, however, we have plenty! We provide shelves and some lockers for you to leave your valuables in during class. The front door is not locked during class so we recommend that you leave valuables at home or locked away as we can’t take any responsibility for missing items.
How big are your class sizes?
Our class sizes are generally kept relatively small. Depending on what time of day you come, you may be in a class of just 2 or 3 students, or up to 21 at peak times.
Do I need to be fit, coordinated or flexible?
No! Most of our classes are open level and can accommodate beginners, check out the class description before booking on or ask us. If you haven’t exercised in a long time, or if you have any injuries or illnesses that may impact your ability to participate, check with your doctor before you come along. Please also make sure you let the teacher know if you’re unwell or injured.
What if I’m pregnant or have recently given birth?
Please make sure you let us know if you are pregnant or have given birth in the last six months, and be sure to discuss what exercise is okay for you with your GP. Some exercises may be unsuitable or will need to be modified at different stages of your pregnancy or following birth.
While our teachers can give you some general information and guidance, they are unable to offer medical advice, so please make sure you discuss any exercise routine you’re planning to undertake with your doctor.
Do you offer student discounts/concessions?
Yes we offer 20% off for all concessions, just email us your concession proof to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will set you up with your own unique discount code. We believe yoga should be accessible and affordable for everyone so if our prices don’t work for you, get in touch with us directly.
Is there a reception desk?
As a low cost yoga studio we do not have a reception or front of house staff. However the teacher will be there to unlock the studio, show you the ropes and assist with any questions before or after class.
Do you have shower facilities?
No unfortunately not, we have large changing rooms and 2 toilets but no showers
When should I get there?
We would recommend between 10 and 15 minutes before class starts to get in and settled. Please be aware there are sometimes classes going on before yours , so if you are more than 15 minutes early please go in quietly so as not to disturb savasana, and sometimes the teacher will not be at the studio to open up until 15 minutes before the class.
What if I’m running late?
Please aim to arrive about 5-10 mins before class. Our teachers will usually let you in up to 5 minutes after class starts as long as there is space for you and it is safe for you to join in after missing the warm up. If you are late and your space has been given to someone on the waitlist then you will lose your space. Please respect your fellow yogis and try to arrive early to minimise disruption but also, we understand that sometimes things happen outside of your control.
Do I need to book ?
We highly recommend that you book on via www.lostinyoga.com and TeamUp, our booking software. This way, you know your spot in the class is secure, and it also allows us to let you know if there are any last minute changes or cancellations. If you want to live on the edge, you can take your chances and just show up for a class. If there’s space, we’ll be more than happy for you to join in.
Do you have parking?
There is no parking at the studio but you can park on most of the side streets before 8.30am and after 6.30pm, please check the signs carefully to make sure you are in a suitable area. Morrisons car park also allows up to 2 hours parking for £2, if you spend £5 in store you can claim that money back too. The address is 264 Walworth Rd, Walworth, London SE17 2DL and it is a 5 – 10 minute walk from the studio.
How do I get to the studio?
The studio can easily be reached on foot from public transport. Please visit https://lostinyoga.com/location/ for full details.
Does the timetable change?
Yes, the timetable will change from time to time, we are always trying to optimise our offering to work for the majority of our students. Our most up to date timetable will always be on our website. If you book online you know the class is definitely happening (or you’ll be notified if anything changes).
Do you offer 1-2-1 classes?
